Hi! My name is Misty. I have 2 dogs-a Pit bull & a terrier mix, one cat & some birds. The birds belong to my 12 year old daughter. She wants a rat. I OKed it, but she needs to find a good home for the birds first. Enough is enough, you know? Anyway, I just wanted to say hello. Nice to "meet" everyone!

hi misty! if your daughter wants to get a rat, she should get at least two of them(both of the same gender) so the rat will have company and everything.

E, actually Cheza doesn't have any rats. she just wanted one and helps me with my rats sometimes. ^_^

Thanks! She was spending her own money so I took her to Petco today. We got 2 males, a white one & a black & white one! They are darling! We got cage, toys, little nesting huts, food, treats, water bottle, dishes, & bedding! WHEW!

My terrier could care less but our pit bull is VERY interested so my daughter is keeping the rats up in her room. We did take them out & play with them & the white one climed up the leg of my daughters jeans! LOL! They sure arent shy!
