Painted Glass Fish

Those things are so cool!
They are fish that are see through like glass.
If you look close enough you can see their bones and... stuff.
But they have dye injected in them so that on their backs they have a colored stripe.
After I got them i read online and found out that the injection is very cruel to the fish :'(

I also read that they only live a couple of months in captivity.
I had those things for about a year.

I would think that the injection would be cruel! There is only so small of a needle that one can get to inject things, and I'm assuming that these fish are pretty small, so that would be like sticking one of those stakes that hold down tents into you! *shivers* :'(
