so, me and mine and cheza's friend Rachel just found out(well i did) that one of her hamsters is a female. she thought she had 2 males. they were in the cage and Tiki(the male) was, well, to put it frankly, humping Emit(now Emma, the girl). i just stared for a minute and then had Rachel get them out(i'm afraid that any rodent that is not a rat will bite me if i pick them up in their cage) so i could check what s*x they were, since pet store employees are rarely capable of doing anything but sitting there and lookin' pretty. so i picked up Emma and did what you are sposed to do to see if they are male, which is push on their lower abdomin(sp?), which would make the males' testicles show. it didn't happen. so i did the same with Tiki, and still nothing happened. but then i felt two lumps which were, in fact, his little hammie balls(lolz...). apperantly the thing that works for other hamsters and rodents doesent work for siberian hamsters...go figure. so i check Emma(then Emit) to see if i had just missed it. but nope. Emit was indeed a girl. lousy Pet Land. now both me and Rachel(and cheza, but the idiots at a different pet store were the ones who mis-s*xed her bro's hamster) have had the retarded employees mis-s*x our rodents. seriously, if a 12 year old girl(aka me) can figure out the s*x of a rodent without any prior training, a person who's JOB it is should be able to! effin bakas... i even had to return my rat Henry(cheza, he was the one who escaped into my dad's car, 'member?) to Pet Land once we found out he was a boy, all thanks to the dumb@sses at Pet Land. at least Rachel has a reason now to never shop at that evil place again. they never have water for the rats and all the rodents are with the opposite s*x! there were a bunch of pregnant hamsters and mice and rats last time we were there... they even sell puppy-mill puppies! makes me sick.
